Land Obstacle Cleared, Dwarka Expressway Cloverleaf Could be completed in Year

The Good News is here! As the most talked about land acquisition hurdle got lifted last week, the most critical intersection of the Dwarka Expressway is expected to get ready by September, 2022. One of the major benefits of the construction of this cloverleaf intersection is that the people residing in new sectors will find it easy to access NH-8 without the need of going to Kherki Daula toll. This intersection is said to be larger than the intersection at Dhaula Kuan in New Delhi. It is going to be billed as largest such structures of the country. After a huge delay of almost 3 years, NHAI had kick started the process of acquiring the remaining land of 0.3 acres in last week. There are a certain few changes like shifting of shani temple, cremation ground, and the eventual handover of land to NHAI etc that helped in lifting of the obstacles for the construction of the cloverleaf intersection.

According to the officials, it would take one year to complete the structure. Senior NHAI official says “MCG has finally handed over the land. In the next few days, we’ll deploy our resources to start construction. It should take us one year to complete it, provided we do not encounter any obstacles. Once ready, it would be one of the largest cloverleaf interchanges in the country.

As per NHAI, the cloverleaf have circumference of over 2kms that includes ramps on four sides. These loops are designed in a manner to enable seamless movement towards Delhi airport, Delhi-Mumbai expressway, Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway, Southern Peripheral road, and Central Peripheral road among others. This construction is the part of package 4 of Dwarka Expressway which will be an alternative to the residents belonging to new sectors to access NH-8 and Sohna Road. If you come from Golf Course Extension Road and wish to access NH-8, then you can take the ramp to read towards Manesar and the loop for travelling to Delhi. If you come from sector 84 and 88, you need to take trumpet flyover near sector 88 to reach the cloverleaf. From there, you can take the ramp road to get down to NH-8 and reach Delhi. The people residing in new sectors have been demanding the construction of clover leaf intersection so that they can access Delhi-Gurgaon expressway without crossing Kherki Daula toll.
